Hackers hacked the HBO and claimed that leaked Game of Thrones season finale details.
Although the "Wave 6" data dump did not appear to have the finale episode, there have been leaks of narrative and summary information.
The hackers group demanded $6.5 million in Bitcoin, but HBO was unwilling to cooperate.
DataBreaches.net did not express a judgement on the likelihood that the hackers' assertion that they have sold data.
It was evident that future potential victims less likely to contemplate paying any demands made by hackers if HBO did not suffer financial loss as a result of the leak of Game of Thrones or its corporate information and assets.
