Hays High School was targeted in a ransomware attack that affected many of its systems.
The attack temporarily shut down its website and disrupted some of its systems used for Canvas, and printers, and affected its classes.
The school immediately investigated the incident with third-party cybersecurity experts and resolved the disruption, and took preventive steps to secure its systems in the future.
