GirlsDoPorn was a sex trafficking operation masquerading as a pornographic content provider. Young women were deceived and coerced into creating videos under the pretense they would not be distributed online. The content, however, was widely shared on the internet, leading to significant distress and harm to the victims. The use of this content for creating nonconsensual deepfake pornography amplified the abuse, further exploiting the victims. Legal actions resulted in convictions, with survivors awarded millions in damages and rights to remove the content. The case highlighted the malicious use of AI in revictimizing survivors and the slow legal response to such evolving cybercrimes.
