Furniture Mart USA Inc. has agreed to a class action settlement following a November 2024 cyberattack that potentially compromised the personal data of U.S. consumers. The lawsuit alleged the company failed to adequately safeguard sensitive information, though Furniture Mart denies any wrongdoing, opting to settle to avoid prolonged litigation.

- Lost time (up to $100) for efforts responding to the breach, calculated at $25 per hour for up to four hours.
- Alternative cash payment ($75) for those without documented losses, requiring no proof.
- Credit monitoring services, including three years of CyEx Identity Defense Complete with $1 million in identity theft insurance, real-time credit monitoring, and dark web scanning.
Claim Process & Deadlines
Claims must be submitted online or via mail/email by November 3, 2026. Payments will be distributed via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, virtual prepaid cards, or physical checks. The settlement administrator will issue payouts and credit monitoring codes within 45 days of final court approval, expected after the November 9, 2026 hearing.
