Boston University Framingham Heart Study

The Vermont Office of the Attorney General reported on December 19, 2024, that the Framingham Heart Study at Boston University experienced a data breach on September 8, 2024, due to a security vulnerability. The breach allowed unauthorized access to personal information, including Social Security numbers and other sensitive data, but there are currently no known reports of unauthorized use of this information.
