The incident involved the installation of a program that searched for payment card data as it was being routed through its network.
The incident specifically involved the data found in the magnetic stripe of payment cards, including the cardholder name, card number, expiration date and internal verification code.
However, Four Winds immediately worked with law enforcement and engaged a leading cybersecurity firm to examine its payment card network and even implemented enhanced security measures to prevent similar attacks.
