Folksam

Folksam, one of the largest insurance companies in Sweden, disclosed a data breach affecting around 1 million Swedes after sharing customers' personal info with multiple technology giants.

As stated by Jens Wikström, Head of Marketing and Sales at Folksam, the insurance found the data breach following an internal audit and reported the issue to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.

According to Wikström, organisations like Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Linkedin, and Adobe are just a few of the ones that have acquired personal data from Folksam.

One of the goals was to examine the queries that visitors and clients who were logged in to folksam.se made in regards to information.
