The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services suffered from a data breach incident that exposed 16,000 people who have Florida concealed weapon permits.
The holders of concealed weapon licences did not have any additional personal information compromised.
The department investigated the incident and offered them free credit protection for one year.
