Fitzgibbon Hospital in Missouri was targeted in a ransomware attack by a group called Daixin Team.
Daixin Team encrypted the servers and backups, but did not affected the workstations.
The attackers also published around 40 GB of files containing information like names, medical information, account details, date of service, demographic information, health insurance information, and other PHI and PII information of the patients that was stolen from the hospital.
The hospital tried to negotiate with the attackers for the decryptor.
