The California Office of the Attorney General reported on May 8, 2013, that Equity Trust Company experienced unauthorized third-party access to its computer network at the end of January 2013. The breach allowed unauthorized viewing access to customer information, including names, addresses, and social security numbers, for a limited number of customers; however, there was no evidence of any information being acquired or removed.
