Energy supplier Eneco suffered from a data breach incident that gained access to the accounts of 1,700 customers and that personal information stolen.
This incident exposed Eneco customers Personal data, and changed by third parties.
My Eneco was temporarily closed to enable an investigation, reported to the Dutch Data Protection Authority for the investigation and affected customers have been notified and asked to create a new account with a different password and also took additional measures to further secure logging.
