EmergeOrtho in North Carolina suffered a ransomware incident which affected the protected health information of its patients.
EmergeOrtho discovered a ransomware attack on its systems and soon blocked it.
However, the attackers were able to access the patient's information that may have been accessed including first and last name, address, Social Security number, and, in some cases, date of birth.
According to the reports around 75,200 patients were affected by the incident.
