A cyberattack appears to have penetrated parts of Eagers Automotive's IT systems in Australia and New Zealand.
The multinational automaker claimed that the outage was limiting its capacity to conduct business in specific areas at several of its operational sites in both nations.
Eagers stated that it has begun a thorough investigation into the company's IT infrastructure to determine the extent of the cyberattack and to make sure that employee and customer data was protected.
The business is in the process of informing a select group of people who have been identified as potentially seriously vulnerable to data misuse, based on the results of its current investigations.
