A day after a massive IT breakdown at Lufthansa left 1000 passengers stuck, the ADV airport organization reported that a suspected cyber attack targeted the websites of seven German airports.
Dusseldorf, Nuremberg, and Dortmund were among the airports that were impacted, but the websites for Germany's three largest airports—Frankfurt, Munich, and Berlin—were all functioning correctly.
Airports were once again the target of widespread DDoS attacks, according to a statement from ADV CEO Ralph Beisel, who also noted that seven airports' websites were momentarily unavailable.
According to the report, other systems are unaffected, and it is unclear how far the problem will spread to other areas.
