DETECTIVES ENDOWMENT ASSOCIATION POLICE DEPARTMENT CITY OF NEW YORK

Administrative Fund of the Detectives’ Endowment Association, Inc., Police Department of New York (“NYCDEA”) suffered a data breach after the organization confirmed that member information was compromised after an unauthorized party gained access to the NYCDEA email system.

The compromised information included names and addresses, dates of birth, driver’s licenses or state identification card numbers, financial account numbers, username and password information, payment card information, medical history, and health insurance information of about 21,544 individuals.

NYCDEA sent out data breach letters to all affected parties, informing them of the incident.
