DESFA SA – Hellenic Gas Transmission System Operator

Greece's largest natural gas distributor DESFA suffered a limited scope data breach and IT system outage following a ransomware attack by the Ragnar Locker ransomware group.

The attackers attempted to infiltrate its networks and accessed some files and data were accessed but were thwarted by the quick response of its IT team.

DESFA deactivated many of its online services to protect client data, however, these services were gradually returned to normal operations as experts worked towards a careful restoration.
