Cumbria Police acknowledges significant data breach after worker names and salaries are posted online.
Details of a second incident involving the July theft of paperwork and a laptop from a car in Newtownabbey also came to light.
The breach had a "low" impact, according to Cumbria Police, but the force nevertheless had to get in touch with everyone who was affected.
