Commport Communications International, Inc.

Canada Post has informed 44 of its large business customers that information relating to more than 950,000 customers was compromised when they got hit by a cyber attack.

They typically include sender and receiver contact information present on shipping labels, such as the names and addresses of the business.

The vast majority (97 per cent) contained the name and address of the receiving customer.

The remainder (3 per cent) contained an email address and/or phone number.

They investigated the incident and took prevantive steps so such incident will not occur in future.
