The COMELEC database was breached by Anonymous Philippines, revealing the voter records of over 55 million people.

COMELEC representatives played down the data breach, saying that no private data was accessed.

The research revealed that 1.3 million records of Filipino voters living abroad, complete with passport numbers and expiration dates, were included in the data dumps.

The complete database of the Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) was compromised by a huge data breach, making all registered voters in the country vulnerable to fraud and other threats.
