Compal

The Taiwanese electronics company Compal was hit by the DoppelPaymer ransomware gang in November 2020.

The attack affected approximately 30% of Compal’s computers and the rest were soon disconnected from the network to contain the attack.

The attackers demanded a huge 1,100 Bitcoins worth $17 million ransom for providing the decryptor.
