Coarc

NYSARC Columbia County Chapter (“COARC” suffered a typical ransomware attack after it detected irregular activity on its systems.

The incident involved names, addresses, date of birth, social security numbers, and/or other state identification numbers and also limited health information for clients.

COARC immediately began to remediate the situation including disconnecting systems, engaging data security and privacy experts, contacting law enforcement, and simultaneously beginning an investigation.
