The City of Stuart suffered a ransomware attack after a computer virus infected its servers over the weekend.
The virus froze up the city’s servers and got them offline, however city emergency services, including 911, remain unaffected.
According to the reports, the hackers demanded a ransom in Bitcoin to decrypt the servers.
