City Of Pell City

Valley Bank, certain consumers who pay the city of Pell City via paper cheque for their utilities bills may have had their data compromised.

According to City Manager Brian Muenger, Valley Bank has told the municipality that some of the city's clients may have had their data compromised.

According to Muenger, the term "lockbox" describes clients who send checks to the city to pay their utility bills.

The breach originated from a third-party servicer, according to Marc Piro, senior vice president and director of content, creative, and public relations at Valley Bank's corporate headquarters in New Jersey.
