Cincinnati State Technical and Community College was targeted in a ransomware attack by the Vice Society ransomware group.
The hackers posted documents stolen from the college, some of which contained personal information which meant that the ransom was paid.
Cincinnati State college informed its 10,000 students and 1,000 staff members about the cybersecurity incident and warned them that online services will take time to return to regular operations.
