The Maine Office of the Attorney General reported on October 7, 2020, that The Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters experienced a data breach involving unauthorized access to customer payment card information between April 16, 2020, and June 12, 2020. A total of 357 individuals were affected, including three Maine residents, due to suspicious code found on the online payment portal on July 24, 2020.
