Charles J. Hilton & Associates, P.C.

The personal health information (PHI) of more than 36,000 patients of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center was exposed in a cyber attack on the Law firm Charles J. Hilton & Associates P.C.

The hackers had gained access to several employee email accounts and accessed the data including the names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, bank or financial information, state identification card numbers, electronic signatures, and medical record numbers, and several other important information of the patients of UPMC.

CJH and UPMC alerted all the affected individuals about the breach and offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity-theft protection services.
