CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center

The computer systems of Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center were targeted in a ransomware attack in February 2016.

The attack left the hospital staff unable to gain access to important documents, patient data, and emails and disrupted several operations like CT scans or other reports.

The attackers also accessed and stole the patient's medical records and demanded a ransom of $3.6 million to restore the access.
