In Châlons-en-Champagne, CDER, a phony president fraud targeted an accountancy firm.
It cost the corporation CDER 14.7 million euros in fraud. The scale of this attack is unprecedented in France.
The corporation revealed the precise amount of fraud it had been the victim of during the CDER's annual general meeting, which was mediated by its president Hervé Jacquinet, and the director of the accounting firm Eric Follies.
The CDER business wants to emphasize that the technique is well-known and is not in and of itself a cyberattack.
