​Canada Post suffered a ransomware attack after a third-party service provider named Commport Communications exposed shipping information for their customers.

The exposed data included shipping manifest data for large parcel business customers, including sender and receiver contact information, names, and mailing address and affected about affected 44 Canada Post commercial customers and 950,000 receiving customers.
