Campbell County Schools

The Campbell County School District declared that it was the victim of a ransomware attack that gave an unauthorised individual access to personnel records.

The date of the occurrence was not disclosed by the school district. The district claimed that the event had an effect on the computer network's functionality and availability.

The school district discovered after conducting an inquiry that the uninvited actor had obtained access to files from its network. Some school employees' private information, including their Social Security numbers and bank account details, was contained in the files.
