Brockton Police Dept

The Brockton Police Department was targeted in a ransomware attack in July 2021.

The Police as well as Fire Department had to shut down their systems to prevent the further spread of the attack.

Although the attack did not severely affect the ability to respond to emergency calls, patrol the Brockton community, it could have been more worrisome if hackers gained access to the department's data.

The department immediately took preventive measures and restored its backup and recovered the access.
