Brenntag

Brenntag, a world-leading chemical distribution company was targeted in a ransomware attack in May 2021.

The attackers encrypted devices on the network and stole bout 150GB of unencrypted data files.

Brenntag payed Bitcoin worth $4.4 million as a ransom to the attackers to receive a decryptor for encrypted files.
