A hack has occurred on Bithumb, one of the biggest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world for Bitcoin and Ether.
From the accounts of multiple customers of the South Jordan exchange, the hackers have taken over $1 million in cryptocurrency.
This past week, thieves gained access to several user accounts and stole valuable currency through cyberattacks.
Hackers reportedly took almost 10 million won's worth of bitcoins from a single account, according to the local newspaper Kyunghyang. As per a victim survey, hundreds of millions of Korean Won have been pilfered from the accounts of one hundred users, making an exact estimation of the total losses almost impossible.
