BINGHAM, COUNTY OF

Bingham County officials suffered from a ransomware attack that shut down county servers.

According to Bingham County Commissioner Whitney Manwaring, "every department in the county was affected in some way."

"Everything: phone systems, computer systems.

The county backs up all the current data.

According to Manwaring, the cost of eradicating the virus is now unknown, although the county's insurance provider, Idaho Counties Risk Management, has a $1,000 deductible.
