Berkeley County Schools targeted by the cyberattack incident after that they experienced a network outage that limited IT operations throughout the district.
Outage affected phones and internet across the district and made apps like one that allows parents to see their child’s bus service in real time unreliable and sensitive information from a child’s emergency card, uploaded online, or child protective orders, were compromised information.
They placed a high value on maintaining the integrity and security of the data which they hold in systems, and working diligently to restore operations.
