Bell Technical Solutions

The computer systems of Bell Canada subsidiary Bell Technical Solutions were targeted by the Hive ransomware gang.

BTS' website bellsolutionstech.ca also got inaccessible because of the attack and those who had booked a technician visit were affected.

The attack also exposed the information including names, addresses and phone numbers of residential and small business customers in Ontario and Québec who booked a technician visit, however, no database containing customer information such as credit and debit card numbers was accessed in the incident.

BTS investigated the incident and also informed the affected individuals.
