Hackers from outside of Europe hacked the Hasso Plattner Institute's campus cloud. In response, the HPI expanded its server capacity.

Britta Ernst (SPD), the education minister for Brandenburg, mentioned criminal conduct in response to the hacker attack on a school platform.

Short-term interruptions caused by a DDoS attack were acknowledged by an institute spokesman.

Following the discovery of a very large volume of accesses from outside of Europe, the HPI modified the firewalls.
