Avesco Rent SA

The Lockbit ransomware group launched an attack against Avesco Rent, a French-speaking Swiss rental company of construction equipment.

Analysing the data on the dark web reveals that personnel dossiers, marketing materials, and customer offers and bills are among the stolen materials.

Lockbit has demanded a ransom, but it is unsure exactly how much it is demanding because it hasn't spoken to the cybercriminals.

The issue was reported by Avesco Rent to both the Federal Office for Cybersecurity (Bacs) and the Centre de Compétences Informatique (KPZIT) of the canton of Vaud.
