The School Board of Brevard County suffered from a data breach incident that accessed its systems.
Cybercriminals could have accessed the identifying information of about 10,000 people last year through the email accounts of 12 Brevard County School Board employees.
Email accounts contained information from students and adults, including some social security numbers.
They provided free access to Experian identity theft protection services for each individual.
They also gave guidelines for keeping an eye on credit reports and reporting fraud.
