Astro became aware of a data breach that compromised their customer and their personal information.
A notice which went up on Astro’s official site confirmed that its customer's database as well as MyKad data such as name, NRIC number, date of birth, gender, race, and residential address are affected in this latest breach.
According to the notice, only 0.2% of Astro customers are affected, and no financial data was disclosed.
Astro also claims, via the notice that they have addressed the incident immediately and stopped the unauthorized access.
