Qilin Ransomware Group Targets Asset Flooring Group Australia in Latest Data Breach
The Qilin ransomware group has listed Asset Flooring Group Australia, a commercial flooring solutions provider, on the dark web, claiming to have stolen 45GB of data. The incident occurred overnight, with the threat actor posting minimal details beyond the alleged data volume and the listing date.
Asset Flooring confirmed the attack, stating that the breach had been contained, infected devices were wiped, and the compromised system was already being phased out at the time of the incident. The company did not verify Qilin’s claims regarding the stolen data.
Qilin, currently the most active ransomware operation, has listed 2,098 victims across 99 countries since 2022, averaging 100 attacks per month in 2026. Operating under a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) model, the group’s affiliates vary in transparency some provide detailed evidence of breaches, while others, like in this case, share only basic information.
This marks Qilin’s second recent attack on an Australian entity, following the Pennant Hills Golf Club breach in early July, where similarly sparse details were disclosed. Neither incident included specifics on the compromised data.
