Australian Securities and Investments Commission faced a data security breach after one of its servers was accessed by an unknown threat actor.

The server contained documents associated with recent Australian credit license applications.

The Australian securities regulator immediately disabled access to the impacted server and worked on recovering the server and restoring the services.
