Ariel Reports Data Breach Impacting Sensitive Personal and Health Information
Ariel recently disclosed a data breach to the Montana Attorney General, revealing that unauthorized access to employee email accounts may have exposed sensitive personal and protected health information. The incident was detected on July 28, 2025, after unusual activity was observed in certain accounts. An investigation confirmed that an unauthorized third party accessed the data on July 25 and 28, 2025.
The compromised information varies by individual but includes names, Social Security numbers, financial card details with access codes, medical records, and health insurance information. Ariel completed a review to identify affected individuals and began mailing breach notification letters on December 5, 2025.
