Ardagh Glass, Inc. was targeted in a ransomware attack after an unauthorized party encrypted portions of its computer network in a ransomware attack and accessed the personal information of certain consumers.
The breach compromised the names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, passport numbers, other governmental identification numbers, birth certificates, financial account numbers, and work-related injuries of about 5,656 individuals.
The hackers also posted links to data that they stole from the firm.
Ardagh investigated the incident and notified the impacted individuals.
