The software for sports leagues for referees and game officials management, ArbiterSports suffered a security breach incident.
The breach impacted around 540,000 of registered members — consisting of referees, league officials, and school representatives across multiple states across the US.
The hackers attacked the systems, blocked and encrypted the files and stole the backup files.
The ArbiterSports had to pay the attackers ransom to delete the files from their possession.
