On December 4, 2013, the California Office of the Attorney General reported a breach by American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc and/or its Affiliates (AXP), which occurred on February 10, 2013. The breach involved unauthorized access to a merchant's data files, exposing American Express Card account numbers and other card information of customers, but not Social Security numbers. The number of individuals affected is currently unknown.
