Allen ISD, was the victim of a ransomware breach that disrupted a handful of systems.
The leaked data includes the GPS navigation system used by school buses, and it resulted in an extortion attempt by threatening to reveal the personal data of employees and pupils.
They refused to pay the hackers’ demands and took the prevantive steps to stop it.
