Allied Universal security firm was breached by Maze ransomware and were asked to pay ransom in order to get decryptor and be safe from data leakage.
This incident is being thoroughly investigated by Allied Universal IT experts who have taken immediate and appropriate actions to reinforce existing security measures and to mitigate any potential impact.
The organization claimed that in order to further confirm the security of their system, they have also hired outside cybersecurity specialists. It is crucial for them to protect both their company data and the data of their clients and staff.
If Allied Universal would not pay, the attackers threatened to use Allied's domain name and email certificates to launch a spam campaign featuring the Maze actors.
