Allaire Health Services suffered a data breach after an unauthorized party gained access to the company’s computer network and the sensitive consumer data contained on the network.
The breach compromised the protected health information of certain patients including names, Social Security numbers, and others.
The company identified suspicious activity relating to an employee's email account which after the investigation was secured with the assistance of cybersecurity specialists.
The investigation also revealed that the unauthorized party was able to access the employee’s email account and all attachments between November 10, 2021, and November 24, 2021.
