Attacks on denial-of-service (DoS) have been recorded on several Finnish websites.
A DoS assault was launched against the Bank of Finland's website, the bank announced on. Countermeasures have been started, the central bank stated in a social media statement.
Later reports indicated that the riots had subsided from Turun Sanomat and Salon Seudun Sanomat. It was the subject of a DoS attack, Turun Sanomat added.
Other websites that reported cyber-attacks were Rantapallo, Yritystele, A-Katsastus, and Expat-Finland. The last three still appeared to be offline by early afternoon.
DoS attacks on Finnish websites were the result of a Russian hacker organization, NoName, according to a post on the group's Telegram channel. The country's actions were justified by Finland's backing of Ukraine and sanctions imposed on Russia.
